• Individual counseling

  Tackle it according to the individual condition appropriate education and guidance are given by means of consultation.

• Group counseling

  Correctional counselors or experts are invited to prison for lectures.

• Classified counseling

  Education is given according to charges of inmates.

• Spiritual counseling

  As inmates have different religious beliefs,all the various major Religions representatives are invited to come forward to spread their words to help inmates spiritually,to calm and purify their emotions.

Parole sentence shortening (good time) system and progressive grade system

• Progressive grade system

  The progressive grade system applies to inmates carrying a sentence of more than 6 months. This system consists of four levels, each with a certain amount of points to be attained. When the points are attained , a promotion will be given, going form Level Four, level Three, Level Two, and To Level One. Progressively, treatments are relaxed as an incentive in order that the objective of the prison is met.

• Sentence shortening (good time)system

  When inmates serving fixed terms are raised to above Level Three and score more than ten points in the current month,a number of days can be deducted accordingly from their terms with each month served.(namely Level Three shortened two days,Level Two shortened four days,Level One shortened six days each month.)

• The parole of inmates

  Parole is for the life imprisonment or fixed-term imprisonment inmates to be released temporarily before their terms are expired, given that the law-required period of imprisonments are fulfilled, there is evidence for the inmates’ repentance and the department of justice grants the permission of the prisons’ application of parole. After released, given that the inmates do not offend any law again or violate the regulations of the restrain period, then the remained terms will be deemed as expired. However, if the paroles are retrieved, the inmates will be imprisoned to finish the remaining terms.

Hold the recreational activities and cultural arts training class

• For the physical and psychological health of inmates,they allow to viewing of television,soft music in leisure time,and carry out various competition frequently,including ball games, chess , tug-of-war,handwritten wall posters, lantern manufacturing and etc to tap their talents,skills,and to help them relax.
• Expand the library with more books, established a book station to go on a circuit so that books can be changed，to nurture inmates’studying habit.Hold book exhibition periodically to allow inmates to buy and collect books,thus raise their reading interest.
• Book Club was established to reach the goal of cleaning and Influencing their mind and thought，experts are invited to instruct,inmates can register voluntarily and share their opinions in the club.
• To tie in during tratitional festivals,reception on telephone and face-to-face reception are held for the purpose of achieving a better and closer relationsip toward their family members.Raising such affections are aimed to reform inmates.
